Originally, wedding dresses were not white, they were colorful. It wasn’t until Queen Victoria wore a white lace gown that it became popular.

I never wanted a white gown, so I never designed a wedding dress with white in mind, although many of the designs are meant to look good in white as well as the color chosen here. This pink gown and the blue princess gown were meant to be wedding dresses.
